Editing a drive mapping for a computer
For any
added to a particular computer, it is possible to edit the drive mapping
letter, server and share.
To edit a drive mapping for a computer
From the left-hand pane, expand
Computers and choose All Computers.
From the right-hand pane, right-click the computer
and from the menu, choose Properties.
Choose the Drive Mappings tab.
Select the drive mapping you want to change, then
click the Edit button.
From the drop-down lists, select the drive mapping
letter, server and share you want to map onto.
Click OK. The drive mapping is updated in the
list.
Click OK.
Notes
You can use
the same process to manage multiple computers. Use
the All Computers list to select all of the computers whose drive mapping
you want to edit. (You can filter the list to easily find the required
computers.) Any changes you make will apply to all of the selected computers.
You cannot edit a drive mapping that is not common to all the selected
computers. If you want to overwrite a drive mapping for a particular drive
letter, you must delete all instances of that drive letter from the computers
before creating the new drive mapping.
You cannot
edit drive mappings which have been assigned at location level. For information
on how to do this, see Locations Help.
Once you
have made any changes to a computer's properties, the computer must be
restarted for the new settings to take effect.
Computer
properties are also available by selecting the computer and choosing in the toolbar, or from the File menu choosing Properties.
